Job Opportunity: CDM Health & Safety Manager
A leading specialist Engineering and Construction Contractor is seeking a CDM Health & Safety Manager to work on a project in North Wales.
With a strong order book and a range of blue-chip clients across FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Brewing, and Life Sciences sectors nationwide, this company offers stability and growth opportunities. The current project involves a large design and build at a major food manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities:
1. Managing and maintaining strong relationships with the subcontractor network on site.
2. Motivating, supporting, and managing the site-based team to meet Health, Safety, and Environmental performance standards.
3. Contributing to the efficient and safe management of the project, maintaining all necessary records and documents throughout all stages.
4. Checking the competence of all workers on site and collecting evidence of their qualifications.
5. Ensuring all plant and equipment are inspected according to required frequencies, with evidence available upon request.
6. Constructing site induction packs and ensuring all workers receive inductions and any necessary training.
7. Conducting site inductions and toolbox talks.
8. Undertaking regular site safety tours.
9. Performing COSHH assessments.
Qualifications:
* NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
* SMSTS (Essential).
* Experience with CDM certifiable projects across construction schemes.
* Food hygiene/food safety experience (preferable).
* High IT literacy, especially in Microsoft Office.
* Ability to write detailed reports.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Willingness to travel nationally as required.
