About The Role
Be part of this ‘once in a generation’ project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable load low‑carbon electricity.
The Civil Works Alliance is an extended delivery enterprise involving Sizewell C and three international construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O’Rourke. We are more than just an alliance, we are bringing together a single delivery organisation with years of learning and experience from other major complex infrastructure programmes worldwide.
What you'll be doing
Develop and implement traffic management plans in line with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual and relevant UK regulations.
* Coordinate with site management and contractors to minimise disruption and maintain safety.
* Supervise the setup, maintenance and removal of traffic control systems (signage, barriers, diversions, etc.).
* Monitor traffic flow and adjust management measures as required to maintain efficiency and safety.
* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health & safety requirements.
* Maintain accurate records of traffic management activities, incidents and inspections.
* Provide training and guidance to site operatives on traffic safety procedures.
* Conduct route reconnaissance for AIL deliveries and assist local authorities in the movement where required.

Who we're looking for
Knowledge & Skills
* Proven experience in traffic management within the construction sector.
* Valid LANTRA or NHSS 12 traffic management qualification.
* Strong knowledge of UK road safety legislation and site traffic control best practices.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing site conditions.
* Full UK driving licence.

* Strong communicator, able to present complex data simply.
* Collaborative, working closely with both technical and operational teams.
