Role Overview
The Day Shift Setter / Technician will be responsible for the safe and efficient setting of injection moulding tools, ensuring components are produced to the required quality standards and specifications. The role also includes supporting and supervising operators within the manufacturing cell, maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Tool Setting & Operation: Safely mount and set injection mould tools within moulding presses, ensuring optimal performance and product quality
• Production Support: Supervise and support operators within the designated manufacturing cell, ensuring efficient and effective production output
• Process Compliance: Work in strict accordance with Carclo standard operating procedures, maintaining consistency and compliance at all times
• Health & Safety: Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety requirements
• Cleanroom Working: Operate within cleanroom environments where required, following all associated protocols and standards
• Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain high-quality output
What You Will Bring
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Plastic Injection Moulding
• Proven experience within a manufacturing environment, including manual handling and working with injection moulding processes. Experience with inline automation is essential
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques. Experience operating injection moulding machines such as Krauss Maffei, Demag, Engel, or Fanuc would be advantageous. Familiarity with robotics systems such as Wittmann, ATM, or Fanuc is desirable
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
