Join to apply for the Security Architect role at Associated Terminals.
The role is contract/temporary with a well known global tier 2 Investment bank. The position will be based in Central London and is hybrid, requiring on-site presence 3 days a week.
Responsibilities
* Secure Architecture & Design: Design and develop security architectures for cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments. Define and maintain security architecture principles and reference architecture. Review and approve technical designs to ensure compliance with enterprise security standards. Identify new log sources and work closely with infrastructure teams.
* Security Governance And Standards: Establish security architecture frameworks and develop secure-by-design guidelines. Work with DevSecOps to ensure secure development lifecycle is maintained. Participate in governance working groups and technical design authority groups to provide guidance to cross-functional teams.
* Technology Evaluation & Integration: Assess emerging technologies and tools from a security perspective. Collaborate with TI and SOC teams regionally and globally to integrate threat modelling into architecture planning. Lead evaluations and PoCs for security tools and platforms. Recommend and help integrate security solutions.
* Risk And Threat Management: Perform security risk assessments for new technologies and major initiatives. Collaborate with other operational teams to integrate threat modelling into architecture planning.
* Collaboration & Advisory: Act as subject matter expert for secure system and infrastructure/application architecture. Work with engineering, infrastructure and IT Architecture teams to ensure secure practices. Provide mentorship and training on secure design principles.
* Security Best Practices & Advisory: Provide expert guidance on securing applications and critical infrastructure components. Help set up proofs of concept and evaluation of new security tools; identify gaps in security controls.
* Other: Provide subject matter expertise in the Cyber Security team as needed. Contribute to the design and delivery of security monitoring and control effectiveness measures. Availability to cover 7am–7pm on all business days.
Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience in security architecture
* Knowledge of both cloud and on-premises structures
* Experience with security tool implementation projects (SIEM, Proxy, EDR, DLP and SEG)
* Cyber security and incident response experience
* Threat modelling, Zero Trust architecture
* Active Directory
* Networking concepts (firewalls, proxies, VPNs)
