At our ARU Writtle campus, we specialise in animal, environmental, agricultural and horticultural courses, for learners aged 16 to 18, adult learners, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

About The Role

ARU Writtle is seeking a dedicated Visiting Officer to join our work base team. In this vital role, you will support students in their work placements by carrying out assessments, monitoring progress, and ensuring a safe and effective learning environment. You’ll work closely with employers and our teaching staff to help students thrive in their practical training.

Key Responsibilities

* Visit and assess students in animal work base placements.
* Monitor health and safety in the workplace.
* Liaise with employers and teaching teams to support learner development.
* Assist students in preparing for assessments .
* Support course administration, record-keeping, and recruitment efforts.

What We’re Looking For

* Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
* Confident working independently with good IT proficiency.
* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and continuous professional development.
* Assessor/Verifier qualification (A1/V1 or equivalent) desirable

To be successful in this role you will be required to hold two A levels or vocational qualification at level 3 or equivalent.
