Very rare and wonderful teaching opportunity at Atelier 21 Future School in our lower primary! We are recruiting for another fabulous teacher who wants to be part of the revolution in primary education.

Based in West Sussex, this role is for an experienced and dedicated teacher who naturally aligns with our Playoneering values: someone who can blend playful rigour, cross curricular-enquiry based learning, and metacognitive thinking skills into their classroom everyday…. and build unshakeable relationships with their pupils.
As a Playoneering teacher there are lots of opportunities to co-create our curriculum and join our mentor teams to work with other schools through our CPD offerings globally.
We take professional dialogue seriously too, hence 14 inset days a year to engage in reflection and develop yourself.
About the Role
* As a Mixed Lower Primary Class Teacher at Atelier 21, you will:
* Be responsible for up to 30 learners, supported by a Teaching Partner.
* Plan and facilitate Skill Slams in Literacy, Maths, Science - explicit, focused lessons linked to real‑world meaning and inquiry.
* Lead Big Studies: Project based learning integrating PSHE, Arts, Humanities, Science etc., grounded in learners’ interests and questions.
* Design provocations that stimulate curiosity and hands-on learning.
* Guide and enable self‑directed learning and independent projects.
* Plan outdoor and nature‑based outings (Forest School, Beach School, etc.) including Wild Fridays.
* Use our ASK model to monitor academic progression and learning dispositions.
* Honouring the environment as the third teacher which creates a culture of joy, enquiry, creativity, and friendship.
* Facilitate semi‑democratic practices through class and school meetings.
Person Specification
* Qualified Teacher Status (not suitable for ECTs)
* Minimum 3 years’ teaching experience
* Alignment with Atelier 21 values and ethos
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Creative thinker
* Adaptable, resilient, passionate and willing to go the extra mile
* Belief in children’s rights and agency
* Ability to take a lead a subject across the Primary
* Knowledge of Reggio‑Emilia approach
* Familiarity with Learning Power Approaches (e.g. Guy Claxton)
* Specialist skills or interests (Arts, Outdoor Education, STEAM, etc.)
