The Service: A purpose-built residential service designed to meet the complex needs of adults with autism and associated conditions. The service includes: All accommodation consists of large, modern, self-contained individual apartments which include lounge/dining room, Kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. High-quality, person centred care and support, developing bespoke pathways for all. Non-restrictive assistive technology supporting safe care and promoting independence. SMART homes which are robust, safe, energy-efficient, technologically advanced and adaptable to meet each person’s needs. The Role: Senior Support Worker (Nights) As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll lead by example during night shifts, ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of individuals while supporting and guiding the night team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining a calm, secure environment and ensuring high standards of care are upheld. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and support the night team to deliver consistent, high-quality care Monitor individuals throughout the night, responding to needs and incidents professionally Support with bedtime routines and overnight care Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning Ensure the environment remains clean, safe, and secure Communicate effectively with day staff to ensure continuity of care Uphold Autism Pathways’ values and promote a person-centred approach What We’re Looking For Experienced and confident in supporting individuals with autism and complex needs Leadership skills – able to guide and support a team effectively Empathetic and calm – especially during quiet hours and challenging situations Reliable and resilient – able to manage behaviours and respond to emergencies Detail-oriented – with strong observation and reporting skills Flexible – willing to work night shifts including weekends Committed to development – open to training and progression opportunities Experience in autism, learning disabilities, or complex behavioural needs is essential. A Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
