Job Title: Qualified Geography Teacher

Job Duties:
The Qualified Geography Teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging geography lessons to students. They will use a variety of teaching methods to ensure effective learning, assess student progress, and provide feedback to support their development. The teacher will also create a positive and inclusive learning environment, manage classroom behaviour, and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in Geography or related field
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum for Geography
- Experience teaching geography at the secondary level
Education:
A degree in Geography or a related field is required. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is also essential for this role.
Experience:
Previous experience teaching geography at the secondary level is necessary for this position.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of geography concepts and principles
- Ability to engage and motivate students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective classroom management abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Education
- Additional training in special educational needs (SEN) or behaviour management
Working Conditions:
The Qualified Geography Teacher will work in a school setting, following the academic calendar. They may be required to participate in extracurricular activities, parent meetings, and professional development sessions. The role involves regular interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
