Overview
GAP Lifting Hire & Sales offers one of the largest ranges of lifting equipment and accessories in the industry. From small shackles and slings to material lifts and aluminium gantries, the division has everything our customers need for lifting any size of load.
The Role: GAP Lifting Hire & Sales is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer (TSE) who will be responsible for maximising lifting hire revenue opportunities from existing major account customers and winning new business. This will include delivering sales presentations to major account customers at a senior management level and attending depot/customer trade days to promote our product offering.
The TSE will work with various stakeholders across the GAP Group network, including Regional Sales Managers and their sales teams, to ensure pro-active promotion of hire opportunities for lifting equipment within their existing customer base.
Location note: This position will cover the Newcastle to Whitehaven area, and the successful candidate should be suitably located. Ideally from a lifting or hoists background, but we are open to candidates from the wider hire industry.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
* Maximise Lifting hire revenue opportunities from existing major account customers and win new business
* Deliver sales presentations to senior management levels at major accounts
* Represent the product offering at depot/customer trade days
* Collaborate with GAP Group stakeholders (Regional Sales Managers and sales teams) to proactively promote hire opportunities within existing customer bases

Qualifications
* Significant experience working in a sales role within the hire industry is essential
* Knowledge of lifting, powered access or hoists is highly desirable
* A proven track record in exceeding sales targets and generating revenue growth by maximising opportunities from existing customers and winning new business
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
* Effective negotiation and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work under pressure and prioritise workload
* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and CRM systems
* Driving Licence (Essential)
