Find out more about the benefits of working for the University of Birmingham Background We are conducting a qualitative research study to understand public perceptions on the use of probiotics to manage oral and general health. This involves interviewing participants in a semi-structured format and conducting analysis on interview transcripts. Role Summary We require transcribers to ensure the auto-generated transcript is accurate and formatted correctly for downstream analysis. This process involved listening to the interview recordings (typically one hour long) and editing the transcript line-by-line as required. This work will provide an opportunity to develop transcription skills and provide insight into conducting semi-structured interviews for qualitative research. Full training will be provided. Main Duties Ensuring accuracy of generated transcripts of interviews and making corrections to the transcript where possible. Person Specification Ability to transcribe video/audio recordings with high accuracy Ability to work independently to ensure interviews are transcribed in a timely manner
