What is the Apprenticeship?
This Government‑approved Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship is a 24‑month programme designed to provide both academic knowledge and hands‑on project experience within the nuclear sector. The programme includes:
* A structured 24‑month virtual training programme with catapwlt
* Four days per week of practical, on‑the‑job project experience at the Trawsfynydd site
* Mentoring from experienced Project Management professionals
* Training in real‑world nuclear environments where safety, quality and governance are critical
* On successful completion you will achieve a Level 4 Associate Project Manager qualification (equivalent to the first year of a degree)
Location
NRS Trawsfynydd Site, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Gwynedd, LL41 4DT
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday, 07:25 – 17:00 (37 hours per week) with a 20‑minute unpaid lunch break.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the planning, coordination and delivery of projects across the nuclear site
* Assist with scheduling, cost control, risk management and reporting activities
* Learn how projects are governed and delivered in a highly regulated environment
* Work with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders
* Apply project management tools and techniques to real‑world challenges
Entry Requirements & What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking motivated individuals with a strong interest in organisation, leadership and project delivery.
* Be 18 years old or older by 3 August 2026
* Have achieved 5 GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) including English and Maths
* Hold a Level 3 qualification (such as A‑Levels, BTEC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

* Attention to detail and ability to manage priorities
