Registered Dental Nurse Team Lead

Anopportunity has arisen for a qualified Dental Nurse Team Lead to work in ourbusy Oral Surgery Outpatient Department at Darlington Memorial Hospital. Theideal person will be an enthusiastic hard working person who will deputise inthe absence of the Outpatient Sister. The successful candidate must hold acurrent GDC registration, having excellent communication skills and a positiveapproach to patient centered care. They must be able to manage their ownworkload effectively, prioritising and using time management skills. They willalso be responsible of the smooth running of Oral Surgery clinics and ensuringsupport is available for Dental Nurses and Health care Assistants. The DentalNurse Team Lead will act as a role model for the team and ensure high stanardsof care are delivered to patients visiting the clinic.
Main duties of the job
As thequalified registered dental nurse team lead you will assist the clinicians inall dental procedures, providing support and advice to patients in the oralsurgery department. You will demonstrate compliance with the responsibilitiesand registration to practice with the general dental council. As the dentalteam lead you will be expected to manage the day to day running of thedepartment, supervising junior staff and students when required. This rolewould suit a registered dental nurse with post registration experience whichcan be utilised in the outpatient setting.

* Knowledge of all dental procedures and ability to assist the dental officer in all dental procedures.
* Knowledge of or willingness to learn and implement team management, staff appraisal, recruitment, department health and safety, trust policies and procedures.
