Currently, GSL Education is looking to fill a job at one of our client schools in Wakefield with a competent and motivated Behavior Specialist. Behaviour specialists are essential in fostering an inclusive and happy learning environment, helping students who struggle with conduct, and advancing the general wellbeing of the school community. Behaviour Specialists Role:
* Behavior Manager in schools typically holds a crucial role in promoting positive behavior and creating a supportive learning environment.
* Behavior Managers are often involved in developing and implementing behavior policies and strategies within the school. They work with senior leadership, teachers, and other staff to create policies that promote positive behavior and address any issues that may arise.
* Behavior Managers provide guidance and support to teachers and other staff members on managing challenging behavior in the classroom. They may offer training sessions, workshops, or one-on-one support to help staff implement effective behavior management strategies.
* Behavior Managers play a key role in fostering a positive school culture and ethos. They may organize initiatives and events aimed at promoting positive behavior, such as reward systems, assemblies, or anti-bullying campaigns.
* Behavior Managers monitor the effectiveness of behavior management strategies and interventions implemented within the school.
The successful candidate will:
* Degree in Psychology, Education, or related field
* Experience working with students with behavioral challenges preferred
* Knowledge of behavior management techniques and evidence-based interventions
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and families
* Dedication to promoting inclusion and equity in education
