About the Opportunity
A leading UK logistics provider is seeking an experienced Driver Trainer to join its Manchester operation. What You’ll Be Doing
As part of the Training Team, you will support the development of professional HGV drivers across the operation. You’ll deliver both practical and classroom-based training, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards—including Driver CPC—under an approved training scheme.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Providing ‘on-the-road’ driver assessments and training
* Coaching drivers on best practice, including defensive driving and fuel-efficient techniques
* Ensuring correct and safe use of vehicles and trailers
* Delivering individual and group training sessions
* Maintaining accurate, confidential electronic training reports
* Working flexibly to coordinate training around driver schedules
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:
* Extensive experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver Trainer
* Strong understanding of container transport or general distribution operations
* Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
* Confidence in delivering training to individuals and groups
* Solid IT literacy (training will be given where required)
* Previous experience within a similar training role (advantageous)
