Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of regular teaching staff. This position is particularly suited for individuals who have experience working with children, especially those with special educational needs, including autism. The Cover Supervisor will be responsible for supervising classes, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task while fostering an inclusive atmosphere.
Duties
* Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher.
* Implement lesson plans and ensure that students are following the curriculum.
* Support students with special educational needs, including those with disabilities and autism, to help them achieve their learning objectives.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and engagement.
* Assist with tutoring and mentoring students as needed, providing additional support to those who require it.
* Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure a collaborative approach to education.
* Maintain discipline in accordance with school policies while promoting respect and understanding among students.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to teaching and working with diverse learners.
Qualifications
* Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
* Background in special education or experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students and staff.
* Ability to mentor and tutor students, providing guidance tailored to individual learning needs.
* Creative writing skills are an asset for developing engaging lesson content or activities.
* A passion for education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Pay: £120.00-£140.00 per day
