An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified person to join our existing team of Consultant Orthodontists and therapists based at South Warwickshire Foundation Trust, comprising Warwick and Stratford Hospitals. The service has brand new, modern facilities with five surgeries, radiology, and a fully equipped dental lab on the Warwick Hospital site, with links to the Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery service in Coventry.
The service is provided across three sites: Warwick, Stratford upon Avon, and Nuneaton. Clinics are mainly at Warwick, but may also occur at other sites.
Applicants must be on the General Dental Council specialist list in Orthodontics and expect to hold the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Examination in Orthodontics (or equivalent) by the start date. A full person specification is available with the job pack.
The successful candidates will be appointed under the current NHS Consultants' terms and conditions.

Main duties of the job
This post is within the Elective Care Division. The department's main activities include diagnosing, planning, and treating severe and complex malocclusion, including patients with clefts of the lip and/or palate, day-case GA and LA procedures, and multidisciplinary management of skeletal deformities and complex restorative needs. The department is involved in ongoing research and audits.
