We deliver technically challenging projects requiring careful planning, precision engineering, and close collaboration with clients and consultants.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Estimator / Pre-Construction Lead to help secure and shape high-value projects across heritage structures, complex refurbishments, and reinforced concrete repair schemes.
The Role
This is a commercially and technically critical position responsible for securing profitable work across:
· Historic and listed buildings
· Complex structural refurbishments
· Reinforced concrete repair and remediation projects
· Structural strengthening and stabilisation works
You will lead the pre-construction process from enquiry to contract award and play a central role in driving sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
· Reviewing tender documents and assessing technical and commercial viability
· Preparing detailed cost estimates for structural and concrete repair works
· Pricing reinforced concrete repairs, cathodic protection, crack injection, and strengthening solutions
· Developing methodologies for complex and sensitive structures
· Liaising with structural engineers, conservation architects, and asset managers
· Identifying risk, opportunities, and value engineering options
· Undertaking site inspections to assess structural condition and access constraints
· Leading bid submissions, negotiations, and client presentations
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who:
· Has experience estimating structural repair and/or concrete remediation projects
· Understands reinforced concrete deterioration mechanisms and repair methodologies
· Has exposure to heritage or complex refurbishment environments
· Can interpret structural drawings, condition surveys, and engineer reports
· Is commercially astute and confident in client-facing situations
· Wants to help grow a specialist contractor
