My client are seeking a highly experienced Account Manager to oversee a retail account within the high end sector. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and proven experience managing large-scale customer relationships. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth project delivery, expanding operations across the UK and maintaining long‑term client satisfaction.
Location & Working Model
* Based within commutable distance to Northampton
* Hybrid working model: Office based, site visits and working from home.
* Travel required to meet clients and oversee projects

Key Responsibilities
* Ensure smooth project handover: Transition secured orders to the Project Management team, guaranteeing a seamless customer onboarding process. Transfer day‑to‑day relationship and delivery responsibilities while sharing expertise to help identify and maximize ongoing business opportunities.
* Deliver accurate forecasts: Produce detailed, reliable revenue and margin forecasts in line with reporting schedules. Ensure projections are realistic, transparent, and able to withstand scrutiny.
* Foster collaboration: Partner with internal teams to build strong, cross‑functional relationships. Promote teamwork and ensure the customer's voice and experience are consistently understood and delivered.
* Provide market insights: Collaborate with the Commercial Manager to gather and share market intelligence and competitor analysis. Support informed, strategic tendering to secure maximum profitability.
* Drive continuous improvement: Work closely with internal departments to develop processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen overall business performance.
* Communicate daily with Project Managers to track progress, resolve issues, and align priorities
* Liaise with purchasing teams to ensure supply chain efficiency and timely delivery of equipment
* Identify opportunities for account growth and support expansion into new markets
* Maintain strong customer relationships through regular updates, meetings, and proactive engagement
Candidate Profile
* Experience within retail, convenience and installation sector
* Experience of new business delivery and account growth.
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities
* Ability to plan, organise and maintain relationships with the customer
