The Royal United Hospital (Bath) offers an opportunity to join our Supply Chain Team as a Supply Chain Coordinator based out of the site at Combe Park, Bath. The Royal United Hospital (Bath) is part of the Integrated Care Service initiative between Salisbury, Bath and Swindon. It is a time of huge opportunities and impactful changes within the NHS, modernising the service by adopting GS1 standards and Scan4Safety methods. The successful applicant will have a drive to deliver outstanding Supply Chain Service to clinicians ensuring all processes are followed to keep patients safe and products available to end users. This customer‑focused role maintains a continuous supply of goods to deliver patient and clinical care. The role is varied and very physical, involving picking, packing, sorting, and distribution. It is a full‑time 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 08:00 – 16:00.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and highly motivated individual to enhance the level of service delivered to the Acute trust and drive improvements. As a Supply Chain Coordinator you will ensure clinical services have a continuous supply of goods in line with the Trust’s Inventory Management system, influence how goods move with a leading‑edge technology, conduct scheduled visits, undertake stock inventory, investigate discrepancies, problem‑solve, contact suppliers, and convey information to stakeholders timely.
Additional duties may include Receipts and Distribution.
