We are a dynamic and growing organisation focused on delivering impactful services in project management, education, and business support. We are currently offering an exciting student placement opportunity for university students looking to gain hands-on experience in finance, HR, and marketing during their placement year.
This is a voluntary placement suitable only for students undertaking a university-mandated industrial placement year. A bursary of £1,000 will be provided to support with travel or subsistence costs. No salary will be paid.
Purpose of Job/Key objectives
Finance: Support the Project Manager in recording and retrieving financial details of the company, carrying out projections, developing analysis and managing the clients' accounts.
Human Resources: Supporting the manager with recruiting highly competent workers to join our organisation. Communicating with other staff members regarding annual leave and holidays.
Marketing: Supporting management with identifying key areas of improvement with clients marketing strategies. Developing marketing strategies and executing delivery of marketing tools for TE delivery activities as well as clients.
Role of the Finance Department
Provide a complete finance service to the whole of the company, addressing all issues of a finance nature and providing all relevant information to meet external demands. These services may include, but are not limited to, any of the following: budget setting, reporting and control, income management, financial reporting to external bodies, annual accounts preparation and debt management.
Role of the HR Department
The primary aim of the HR department is to ensure suitable recruitment of candidates for the organisation. This will entail advertising, interviewing and completing reference checks.
Role of the Marketing Department
The primary aim of the Marketing department is to display TE in the most favourable light to individual service users and B2B clients.
Principal Duties/Tasks and responsibilities
● Work closely with the Project Manager/Company Director to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters
● Dealing with client's accounts
● Analysing trends in revenues and expenses
● Preparing spreadsheets, graphs, and chart to help illustrate financial trends
● Presenting financial information to managers
● Plan, organise and manage own workload to ensure your contribution to the company's monthly financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate manner
● Ensure swift payment and production of invoices
● Preparing budgets
● Performing revenue and expense forecasts in order to make financial decision – financial projections
● Creating and renewing financial records
● Checking staff members time sheets
● Recruitment of staff
● Setting up interviews in accordance to manager's schedules
● Advertising current positions available on recruitment websites and social media
● Provide assistance with writing job descriptions
● Conducting reference checks on potential candidates
