⚕️ Role Overview
We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Support Workers to join our dynamic team at Paulton Hospital. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to patients with a range of physical, rehabilitation and chronic health needs, helping them maintain independence and dignity during their hospital stay.
✅ Key Responsibilities
* Assist patients with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
* Support therapeutic activities and mobility as directed by nursing and therapy staff
* Promote independence and emotional wellbeing among service users
* Maintain cleanliness and a safe environment within the ward/unit
* Report changes in patient condition to the appropriate clinical staff
* Support clinical teams with observations, documentation, and equipment checks
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients' holistic care needs are met
Requirements
* Minimum of 6 months of NHS expirience
* Care Certificate or equivalent qualification is highly desirable
* Enhanced DBS required (can be processed via Medacs if not already held)
* Up-to-date immunisations: Hepatitis B, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), TB, and Varicella (Chickenpox)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic
* A genuine passion for supporting patients and promoting wellbeing
