We are looking for a part-time Recovery Worker to join our team to cover Oban and the surrounding areas. In this role, you will be on the front lines, providing vital support to people and families affected by drug and alcohol use. Your goal will be to help keep people live safely and support them in making positive changes in their lives.
Our wider team travels across all of Argyll and Bute to meet people where they are, supporting anyone aged 18 and over. We work closely with the NHS and local charities to make sure people get the help they need. Our service is highly valued by the people we support, who often tell us they appreciate our high quality of care and our deeply committed staff.

This is a hybrid role involving in-person appointments, group sessions, and video calls. You will manage a caseload of individuals and families, and assist with assessments. While you will work independently, you are never aloneyou will be backed by a supportive team and consistent management guidance.

Your Skills: You are a great communicator who builds trust easily. You understand how substance use affects a person's whole life, and you can stay calm and focused in difficult situations. You are organized, flexible, and eager to learn.
Requirements: You are confident using computers and digital systems. While a driving license and car are helpful, they are not essential. An SVQ Level 3 is preferred, but we welcome applicants with relevant experience who are willing to work toward this qualification.
