Reeson Education are recruiting a confident Sports Coach to support a developing Post-16 provision in Doncaster (DN22). This role is part of a structured and expanding SEND programme focused on clear outcomes, strong engagement, and measurable progress for learners.
About the Sports Coach Role:
As a Sports Coach, you will deliver structured physical activity sessions designed to improve engagement, behaviour, and overall wellbeing. You will operate within a defined framework, using sport as a direct tool to reinforce discipline, teamwork, and consistency while contributing to performance and outcome targets.
Key Responsibilities as Sports Coach:
Structured Coaching: Deliver planned sports sessions with clear objectives, routines, and expectations.
Behaviour Management: Apply firm strategies to maintain control, focus, and participation.
Routine & Engagement: Reinforce structure, transitions, and consistent expectations across sessions.
Progress Monitoring: Track participation, engagement, and outcomes in line with KPI frameworks.
Professional Coordination: Work efficiently with teaching staff, leadership, and external professionals.To succeed as a Sports Coach, you will need:
Experience in coaching, SEMH, SEN, Post-16, or structured youth environments.
A strong presence with clear, direct communication.
Confidence managing behaviour in active and high-energy settings.
An organised, proactive, and outcome-driven approach.
Understanding of safeguarding and performance-focused environments.
An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.Benefits as a Sports Coach:
