Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a highly skilled, SIA Licensed Security Team Leader in Westhoughton, Bolton to oversee the performance and upkeep of the security function on one of our esteemed client’s premises. You will manage the day‑to‑day activities of your team and ensure all colleagues adhere to their duties, maintaining a high level of professionalism and security presence.
Working hours
42 hours per week, 4 on / 4 off days and nights, 0700‑1900 / 1900‑0700.

What you will need
* Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
* A valid SIA Front‑Line Licence – essential.
* A full UK driving licence – desirable.
* Confidence and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
* Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
* Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft software packages (e.g., Excel).
* Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 standards, SC and Bank of England clearance – UK residence required 5 years prior to the date of employment.
What are you going to do
* Supervise daily security team operations, ensuring the team fulfills all tasks and adheres to Assignment Instructions and Corps Security policies.
* Monitor surveillance and alarm systems and respond to any security breaches or incidents efficiently and timely, ensuring escalation processes are adhered to.
* Lead, manage, and motivate direct reports (goal setting, performance reviews, appraisals, coaching, development training, and monitor attendance/time‑keeping).
* Promptly and accurately submit all necessary reports and performance measurement documentation to the appropriate departments.
* Monitor all staff and contractor activities on the site (including control of contractors, recording of method statements and risk assessments).
* Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services and relevant stakeholders during emergencies.
* Regularly inspect security equipment (e.g., CCTV, Access Control, alarms) and ensure proper functioning and upkeep.
* Investigate any security incidents, accidents and breaches, preparing comprehensive reports with improvement recommendations.
* Ensure effective communication across departments, integrating security measures into all operational factors, including events, facility management and safety for all persons on site.
* Stay up to date with security trends, technologies and regulations, providing recommendations for system and procedural improvements.
* Ad‑hoc duties as and when required.
