VERONICA DE PIANTE – COMMERCIAL EXECUTIVE
The Commercial Executive will play a pivotal role in driving our business growth by bridging the gap between our brand vision and commercial success. You will support the Commercial Manager and Wholesale Director in range planning, performance analysis, and the management of our wholesale network. This role requires an analytical mind to interpret data and a creative, pragmatic approach to problem-solving within our fast-paced, start-up environment. You will act as an internal champion for our commercial strategy, ensuring our product and trade plans are executed flawlessly to meet financial targets and strengthen our market position.
Reporting
This role will report to the Senior Commercial Manager and work closely with the Wholesale Director, Marketing, Design, and Retail teams.
Responsibilities
* Commercial & Range Planning Support: Support the Commercial Manager in the range planning process, analysing historical sales data, market trends, and customer insights to inform product selection and investment.
* Prepare analysis and reports on sell-through, best/worst sellers, and category performance to evaluate the effectiveness of commercial initiatives.
* Attend and contribute to key trade meetings, preparing presentation materials and capturing actionable insights.
* Wholesale Partner Management: Work alongside the Wholesale Director to manage the scheduling, onboarding, and ongoing relationship with wholesale partners.
* Serve as a key point of contact for wholesale accounts, responding to enquiries and ensuring excellent service levels.
* Oversee the wholesale order process, liaising with operations coordinator to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
* Campaign & Operational Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure commercial priorities and product focuses are reflected in campaign planning and execution.
* Build insightful reports on sales performance across all channels (retail, e-commerce, wholesale), analysing KPIs to make data-driven recommendations for sales growth.
* Cost tracking and reporting for commercial projects and initiatives, adhering to department budgets.
* Support in developing a culture of commercial excellence by monitoring competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market trends.
* Provide ongoing consumer and trade insight to the team to inform brand and commercial strategies.
* Special Projects: Prioritise, plan, and manage small-scale commercial projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and budgets.
Skills & qualifications
* You have experience in luxury retail, wholesale, or a commercial role, or can demonstrate a strong understanding of and passion for the luxury customer and industry dynamics.
* You possess strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret sales data, build reports, and translate numbers into actionable business strategies.
* You have a proven track record of project management and relationship management, with the ability to handle multiple partners and projects in an organised manner.
* You are an exemplary communicator with excellent written and verbal skills, confident in building relationships with internal teams and external wholesale partners.
* You can rapidly grasp commercial ideas and data, translating these into clear, compelling materials such as slides and documents for a wider audience.
* You have a creative and pragmatic problem-solving mindset, essential for thriving in a small start-up environment.
* You have a preference for working within a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritise and be flexible as commercial needs evolve.
