Lecturer - Education Focused - Psychology at UNSW. The School of Psychology at UNSW is the leading Psychology school in Australia, recognised nationally and internationally for its excellence in research and teaching. It offers world class undergraduate psychology degrees, postgraduate Masters training in Clinical and Forensic Psychology, an online Graduate Diploma program, and a PhD program with over 120 students.

About The Role
Salary: $127k - $150k plus 17% Superannuation and annual leave loading. Status: Continuing. Employment type: Full time (35 hours).
The role reports to the Head of School and has no direct reports.
Responsibilities For This Role Include
* Demonstrate and continuously develop a well-defined teaching philosophy that inspires student learning.
* Conduct classes, assess student learning achievements and support students in postgraduate and undergraduate courses in line with UNSW policy.
* Design and develop learning activities and resources, and assessment and feedback using a range of suitable approaches and learning environments.
* Initiate the development of experimental approaches to teaching and learning with the support of more senior academics.
* Support learning progression with students as individuals (one-to-one consultations) and as a cohort (general course-related advice) to achieve positive learning and employability outcomes for students.
* Manage course administration as Course Authority, including academic quality assurance.
* Maintain professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge and relevant professional accreditation requirements (where relevant).
* Contribute to School meetings and seminars and participate in School/Faculty committees as required.
* Align with and actively demonstrate the Code of Conduct and Values.
* Comply with health and safety policies and procedures to protect the health and safety of yourself and others.
About The Successful Applicant (Selection Criteria)
To be successful in this role you will have:
* A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
* Active engagement with discipline knowledge and ongoing professional development.
* Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
* Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
* Evidence of teaching effectiveness and commitment to educational excellence (e.g., curriculum design and development at various levels).
* Knowledge of industry or experience with work-integrated learning (desirable).
* Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and contribute to equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
* Understanding of UNSW’s aims, objectives and values, and related policies and guidelines.
* Awareness of health and safety responsibilities and willingness to undertake relevant training.
