We are currently looking for enthusiastic and motivated care support workers to join our vibrant Day Services team. We are looking for someone who can help our citizens enjoy their time with us and provide them with access to opportunities that will help build social skills, confidence and independence, as well as promoting their wellbeing. You will be responsible for ensuring all citizen care and support needs are met, including providing personal care, and supporting with feeding and moving and handling.
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care and support with feeding, moving and handling; ensure all citizen care and support needs are met.
* Help citizens enjoy their time, promoting wellbeing and supporting social skills, confidence and independence.
* Work across the Day Centre, in the community and at community hub sites within the local district.
* Support citizens in a range of activities including cooking, baking, gardening, sensory activities, and arts and crafts.
* Maintain accurate records and work in line with citizen care plans; literacy and basic IT skills are required.
Qualifications and experience
* Essential
* Completion of the Care Certificate
* Completion of the Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent or willingness to work towards this qualification
* Desirable
* Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English
Working hours
The core working hours for these posts will be 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday; however, some flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service.
