The Product Manager will be responsible for products throughout their lifecycle, from identifying candidate products and services based on market opportunities, through design, productionisation, release, operation and retirement/migration. You will work closely with the Corporate Division as well as Technical Teams and Customer Success.


Role Description

The Product Manager will be responsible for the product roadmap to address the developments needed to detect toxic, illegal and brand-damaging social media content to protect our customers and their brands. You will also consider the User Experience that underpins customer satisfaction with our products. You will have customer-facing experience and will engage with customers to understand the market and their needs. You should be comfortable working at strategic as well as operational (and occasionally tactical) levels.

You will develop a deep understanding of key competitors and focus on our unique value proposition and points of differentiation. You will consider the market focus of our products and ensure that our risk coverage, reporting outputs and data analytics lead the field in the sectors we choose to play in. You will collaborate with Account Management, Service Quality, Human Intelligence and Service Desk teams to gather customer requirements and internal requirements for product/service development.

You will be an advocate for our customers and users (Human Intelligence Analysts), coordinating people, processes and technology. Ideally, you will have previously worked in a SaaS/Technology environment where you partnered with external customers and represented their needs. You should understand UX/UI and factor this into the roadmap and development activities. Our services blend Technology and Human skills, and managing this blend is a major factor in our success.

You will own the delivery of product development activities, ensure release management activities including documentation and training are delivered, and monitor and drive adoption.


Responsibilities

* Identifying and prioritising problems to solve and product feature ideas
* Ensure that all parties have a clear understanding of the end goal and are focused on delivering outcomes
* Create a vision so the development team understands the expected user outcome
* Write customer-based stories for what the product needs to do and assign work based on required features
* Manage prioritisation of work based on a range of factors
* Scope work items/tickets to complete development work
* Chart and monitor progress toward product completion for each component and the final product
* Test results with a structured approach to learn, adjust and innovate
* Write analysis plans for projects and contribute to proposals and stakeholder communications
* Sign off all customer-facing product releases
* Manage the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
* Specify market requirements supported by ongoing customer visits
* Drive a solution set across development teams through market requirements, product contract, and positioning
* Collaborate on GTM messaging and drive awareness and buy-in across departments
* Oversee multiple concurrent product builds and ensure continuous improvements
* Coordinate with other software development and infrastructure teams to integrate components
* Communicate effectively to translate technical concepts for lay audiences


Qualifications & Experience

* Consistent track record for solving critical problems on enterprise products with the ability to navigate technical tradeoffs
* Experience in Risk Intelligence / Moderation / Security / Internet Safety
* Proven ability to prioritise and make data-driven decisions in dynamic environments
* Extensive experience in product management, ideally in a B2B SaaS/technology environment
* Experience in fast-paced, customer-driven environments
* Expertise in managing key stakeholders including development teams and wider business
* Experience in a fast-paced, cutting-edge technology environment
* Degree level education or equivalent
