About the Role
These are exciting times in the City of Bristol, with significant investment in transport and highway infrastructure. Ensuring the network continues to run smoothly during potentially disruptive works is a key challenge.
We are seeking a Senior Network Management Officer with a proven record of working in a Network Management role covering streetworks, roadworks, temporary events and works coordination. You will work closely with other areas within the Council’s Transport Service to ensure projects and promoted works are carried out with minimal highway disruption.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee streetworks, roadworks, temporary events and works coordination within the transport network.
* Collaborate with the Council’s Transport Service to ensure projects are carried out with minimal highway disruption.
* Develop innovative solutions to complex problems and provide coordination during potentially disruptive works.
Key Competencies and Qualifications
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with the public, stakeholders and colleagues.
* Extensive knowledge of highway related legislation and regulations.
* Sound understanding of the operation of transport networks.
* Proven ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
