Job Summary
Exciting opportunity for an individual to join an experienced team and deliver ultrasound services across Leeds. The successful candidate will be based predominantly at King's College Hospital (SJUH) but may be required to rotate to other departments within the Trust, supporting sonographers and assistants across four departments.
Responsibilities
* Provide and maintain a quality ultrasound service to agreed quality standards.
* Be responsible for day‑to‑day management of the ultrasound department.
* Be responsible for the efficient and effective utilisation of all resources within the department.
* Give specialist advice within the area of responsibility.
* Ensure that agreed Trust protocols, standards of service and organisation of service are delivered.
* Maintain governance of the department, including risk management and health & safety.
* Liaise closely with other departments and managers to ensure smooth and efficient running of the service.
* Support the Lead Sonographer in service improvement to deliver national and local objectives and targets.
Qualifications
* BSc/DCR (R) Diagnostic Radiography
* Valid HCPC registration
* Continuing Professional Development relevant to the role
Experience
* Significant post‑graduate experience at Senior Radiographer level
* Leadership experience in first‑line supervision or management
* Knowledge of all Health & Safety related regulations governing radiographic clinical practice
* Evidence of sound knowledge of clinical practice and CPD to an appropriate level
Benefits & Package
Salary: £49,387 to £56,515 per year (Band 7)
Permanent contract, full‑time. 10% recruitment and retention premium.
