Job Overview
We are looking for an accredited vascular scientist / vascular sonographer to join our progressive and supportive multi‑professional team within the Vascular Surgery Department. This role will support the department’s strategic plans, IQIPS accreditation initiatives, training, clinical research and audit, and other tasks that keep the service running smoothly.
Responsibilities
* Carry out and independently report on a full range of investigations (carotid duplex, upper and lower limb arterial and venous duplex, EVAR follow‑up, pre‑operative marking, pre‑ and post‑fistula assessment).
* Participate in one‑stop consultant‑led outpatient clinics, rapid access clinics and support the TIA pathway.
* Assist with smooth running of the service, departmental strategic plans, IQIPS accreditation, training initiatives, clinical research, audit, and ongoing professional development.
* Collaborate with vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, stroke & renal teams, sonographers and specialist nursing teams.
Qualifications
* Significant clinical experience of vascular scanning.
* Post SVT accreditation or equivalent qualifications; or completion of vascular STP training.
* Full accreditation (AVS) with the Society for Vascular Technology (SVT) of GB and Ireland, NHS Scientific Training Programme postgraduate certification, or equivalent.
* Strong clinical presentation skills and ability to work independently.
