Brookvale Practice looks after a population of 9000 patients, we aresituated in Runcorn which has close motorway links to Manchester, Liverpool,and North Wales.
Our excellent clinical teamconsists of 8 GPs, 1 ANP, 1 Clinical Pharmacist, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 Nurse Associate, extended clinical ARRSroles including, Clinical Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician alongside 2 GPAswith 12 supportive reception and administration staff.
The successful candidate will join our friendly, supportive, innovativeteam and share our ethos and approach of putting patients first. We area highly regarded training practice rated as Good by CQC following our inspection visit inNovember 2023. We use EMIS Web, GPs have15 min appointments with at least 2 clinicians working on call. We support GPsto develop clinical interests and develop extended roles and we would welcomeinterest from newly qualified GPs.

Main duties of the job
To work as an autonomouspractitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to thepractice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilstcomplying with the contract.
Furthermore, the postholder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice,contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example,maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with themultidisciplinary team.

Job responsibilities
The following arethe core responsibilities of the Salaried GP. There may be, on occasion, arequirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors suchas workload and staffing levels:
a. The delivery of highly effective medicalcare to the entitled population
b.Theprovision of services commensurate with the primary care contract
c.Genericprescribing adhering to local and national guidance
d.Effectivemanagement of long-term conditions
e.Processingof administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescriptionrequests and other associated administrative tasks
f.Ona rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
g.Maintainaccurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy andguidance
h.Workcollaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
i.Adhereto best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
j.Contributeto the successful implementation of continuous improvement and qualityinitiatives within the practice
k.Acceptdelegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
l.Attendand contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
m.Contributeeffective to the development and maintenance of the practice including clinicalgovernance and training
n.Ensurecompliance with the appraisal process

Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of working in a primary care environment
* Experience of continued professional development
* Experience of QOF and clinical audit
* General understanding of the primary care contract
* Minimum of two years as a salaried GP
* Experience of medicines management
* Experience of ICB initiatives
Qualifications
* Qualified GP
* MRCGP
* Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
* General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
