About the opportunity
As a Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services.
Working within the healthcare department, you will build strong relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs. Your responsibilities include greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, ensuring the safe sale of medicines, and providing advice to support patients in making informed health decisions. You will make a difference every day.
This role is based in-store within the UK. Remote applicants will not be considered, and applications from outside the UK will only be progressed if relevant UK qualifications and right to work are confirmed and evidenced.
Key responsibilities:
1. Prescription dispensing, ensuring the safe supply of medicines, including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
2. Collaborating with healthcare professionals in your store to assist in managing and delivering pharmacy services.
3. Providing care and advice to patients about medicines and referring queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
4. Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
5. Staying updated with new innovations and complying with operational processes.
6. Supporting patients in managing their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.
You will also have opportunities to work with new technologies, improving traditional dispensing processes to enhance patient safety and free up your time for patient interactions. Regular training and development options are available, including training as a Pharmacy Technician or in store leadership.
What you’ll need to have:
* Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
* Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
It would be great if you also have
