Pay ranges from $40 to $70 per hour, based on experience, education, and project assignment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
* Manage project documentation to ensure accuracy and currency
* Oversee construction and rehabilitation projects for roadways, bridges, and buildings
* Coordinate work assignments across multiple projects
* Supervise State and Consultant project engineers and inspectors
* Assign and manage project staff daily based on workload
* Interview potential inspector candidates
* Review and analyze construction claims and change orders
* Ensure contractor compliance with contract documents, plans, and standards
* Meet with clients, contractors, and subcontractors; chair meetings and prepare agendas
* Monitor project cost, schedule, quality; prepare reports
Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities:
* Review baseline schedules and updates
* Assist with construction scheduling, constructability reviews, and claim analysis
* Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
* Successful completion of JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
Required Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
* Minimum of 5 years related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with local clients
Working Conditions:
Work is performed 50% in the field. Must be able to perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting objects up to 25 lbs. Conditions may include outdoor work in various weather conditions.
