A busy country pub in the Northamptonshire countryside is hiring a Sous Chef
1. Peak summer food sales up to £50k per week
2. Big outdoor space for high-volume service

4. Set in a former stationmaster’s house with views over the lake and countryside
The role
5. You will support the Head Chef and lead the kitchen day to day.
6. Run service at pace, inside and outside
7. Cook with fresh produce and bring ideas to the menu
8. Drive consistency, quality, and speed during peak trade
9. Manage prep, ordering, stock, and wastage
10. Lead, train, and develop junior chefs
11. Keep standards tight on food safety and cleanliness
What you need
12. Sous Chef experience in a fresh-food kitchen
13. Confidence running busy services and outdoor trade
14. Strong people skills
15. Calm, approachable leadership
16. Clear focus on coaching juniors and building a team culture
Pay and contract
17. Salary: £36,000 + tronc (around £3-4,000 per year)
18. Salary or Hourly options available
19. Contracted hours: 48 per week
