Senior Electrical Construction Manager – Hyperscale Data Centre

Salary: £85,000 – £950,000 + Paid Travel & Benefits (DOE)

We're working with our client who is looking to hire a Senior Electrical Construction Manager to lead the electrical delivery on one of Europe's most ambitious hyperscale data centre projects. This is mission-critical work. Multi-MW installations. Redundant systems that can't fail. N+1 architecture where precision isn't optional—it‘s everything.
What You'll Command
* End-to-end electrical delivery on a hyperscale data centre—from design coordination through to energisation and commissioning
* Leadership of multidisciplinary site teams, specialist subcontractors, and package managers across HV/LV systems, backup power, and critical infrastructure
* Strategic client engagement with hyperscale operators and tech giants who demand flawless execution
* Technical authority over EHV/HV switchgear, generator systems, UPS, PDUs, and busbar installations
* Design integration with MEP, controls, and BMS teams—ensuring every system speaks the same language
* Commercial oversight: managing multi-million-pound packages while protecting margins and programme
* Risk management across complex, fast-track programmes where delays cost millions
What Sets You Apart
* Senior-level M&E experience managing large-scale electrical projects (£20m+ value)
* Hyperscale or Mission-Critical environment expertise—Data Centres, Co-location facilities, or Critical Infrastructure
* Deep technical knowledge of HV/LV systems, standby power, UPS architecture, and resilient electrical design (Tier III/IV standards)
* Fluent in BS 7671, IET guidance, CDM regulations, and the unique compliance demands of data centre environments
* Proven ability to manage fast-track programmes with overlapping trades and compressed timelines
* Strong commercial acumen—you understand P&L, cost control, and what drives project profitability
* Relevant qualifications + CSCS/ECS/SSSTS as standard
What Takes You to the Next Level
* HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering
* SMSTS, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent senior safety qualifications
* Experience with Uptime Institute standards (Tier III/IV certification processes)
* BIM Level 2 and digital design coordination experience
* Membership with IET, CIBSE, or similar professional bodies
* Background working with hyperscale clients (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Meta, Oracle, etc.)
