A welcoming specialist school in Trafford is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (SEN) to join their team and support pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, communication difficulties, and associated learning challenges.
The Role - Learning Support Assistant (SEN)
As a Learning Support Assistant (SEN), you will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to provide tailored support to pupils across the school. Support may take place 1:1, in small groups, or within the classroom, helping students engage with lessons and build confidence.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting pupils with EHCPs to access learning
Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Assisting with classroom activities and structured interventions
Working alongside teachers and SEN specialists to implement support strategies
Helping create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environmentWhat's on Offer

Full-time, long-term Learning Support Assistant (SEN) role
Supportive and experienced SEN team
Excellent experience for careers in education, psychology, or therapyIdeal Candidate - Learning Support Assistant (SEN)
Degree preferred but not essential
Relevant experience in SEN Support, Care, Youth Work or Sports Coaching advantageous
Patient, compassionate, and resilient personality
Strong communication and teamwork skills
