Overview
The Logistics Department at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI) are looking to recruit a Ward Product Officer.
As a Ward Product Officer you will provide a vital role in ensuring clinical areas have the products they require to allow clinicians to provide care for patients via Ward Top Up service.
Working closely with the Logistics Manager and other members of the team you will be a key team member providing an essential role within DGRI.
Responsibilities
* Provide a vital role ensuring clinical areas have required products via Ward Top Up service.
* Work closely with the Logistics Manager and other team members.
* Maintain communication and attention to detail, work to tight deadlines and respond to changing priorities.
* Deliver excellent customer service as part of a support service.
* Demonstrate a willingness to learn and a flexible approach within the workplace.
* Be responsible to the Logistics Manager, work on your own merit, and be supported by peers while remaining engaged in productive team dynamics.
Qualifications & Experience
* Good communication skills and attention to detail.
* IT skills including experience working to tight deadlines.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Willingness to learn and flexible approach.
* Experience in manual handling is desirable; training will be provided.
Training & Development
Full training and development will be provided for this role.
Hours & Working Schedule
Base location: DGRI Dumfries.
Working hours: Mon–Thurs 8:00 am – 4:00 pm + Fri 8:00 am – 3:30 pm (until 31 March 2026). From 1 April 2026, Mon‑Fri 8:00 am – 3:40 pm.
Note: As from 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata, with a corresponding hourly rate increase so that pay will not be affected.
