We’re looking for a Senior Technical Delivery Manager to join us in our Bradford office. This is hybrid working – 2 days in the office, 3 days remote.
Within this role, you will contribute to our Transformation function, delivering technical projects to internal customers and enabling the delivery of products and services to external markets. You'll work with innovative technologies including Hyperscaler technologies like Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure and AWS as well as more traditional technologies like Oracle ERP systems.
What will you be doing?
1. Lead the planning, execution and delivery of technical projects within scope, budget and timeline constraints
2. Manage and mentor cross functional teams, include non technical resource to ensure project success
3. Serve as the point of contact for all IT and Technology teams on all projects
4. Support technical solution design and advisory input for decision making
5. Identify and mitigate project risks proactively, ensuring minimal disruption
6. Implement Quality Assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high quality technical solutions that meet client expectations
7. Technical resource and cost management, tracking internal and third party costs and ensuring delivery within budget
8. Co-ordinating with teams during integration and user acceptance testing
We tend to look for people with:
9. Substantial experience of driving significant programmes/projects in a large and complex environment.
10. Proven experience of project management methodologies
11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
12. Strong stakeholder management skills including exposure to the Senior Leadership Team
13. Ability to converse with Technical teams, but also explain sophisticated technology to non-technical people
14. Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure) and serverless computing
15. Attention to detail.
16. Solid grounding in the principles and practices of data privacy and information security.
17. Familiar with tools like JIRA, Asana or Trello
18. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree level or equivalent in a STEM subject
19. Prince2 certification
20. Development or technical architecture background
