If you are looking for a new challenge, come and join our growing team providing quality care for patients across the whole endoscopy pathway.
You will need to be a hardworking and motivated team player committed to delivering high standards of patient-centered care, with excellent communication skills, a flexible attitude, and a commitment to your own personal development.
The successful applicant will ideally have a minimum of 12 months experience in an acute setting. While previous endoscopy experience may be advantageous, it is not essential as we provide training and competency assessment.
The post holder will play an important role in this large and dynamic team, which includes Nurse Endoscopists, Gastroenterology Consultants, Colorectal/Upper GI Surgical Consultants, and a large nursing and HCSW team.
This role requires an active UK NMC Registration.
Please note: All staff being recruited are expected to work flexibly across all Trust locations when service demands require it. An on-call roster is required to be covered, including nights, weekends, and Bank Holidays. The base location is Royal Bournemouth Hospital, but you will be required to work at Poole and Wimborne Hospitals.
Interview Date: TBC
For more details about the role, please read the full job description and person specification documents attached to this advert.
The Bournemouth Endoscopy Unit comprises 6 procedure rooms, including ERCP performed in the X-ray department. Poole Hospital has 3 procedure rooms, and Wimborne has 1. We provide diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), bronchoscopy, and ERCP, as well as bowel cancer screening programs.
Our values define who we are as #TeamUHD. They underpin all our actions, including how we treat patients, visitors, and colleagues. UHD is investing in services across the Trust, with many being transformed and developed following the merger and the New Hospital Programme. Some services may move sites temporarily or long-term this year or next. Recruiting managers will be happy to answer questions about this during interviews.
Please note, if the role or service is relocated as part of a planned move, employees will not be eligible for excess mileage reimbursement. Travel from the postholder's home to the new work base will be considered a normal commute. Other changes unrelated to relocation will be managed according to Trust or national terms and conditions.
