Job Description
We are currently offering a placement opportunity for a Shop Assistant under the Work Placement Experience Programme (WPEP). This role is ideal for someone looking to gain valuable retail experience in a supportive and busy store environment.
Role Overview
As a Shop Assistant, the participant will assist and learn across a variety of retail tasks, including:
* Providing excellent customer care and service
* Assisting with cleaning duties to maintain store standards
* Date checking and ensuring products are rotated appropriately
* Stocking shelves and maintaining product displays
* Supporting health and hygiene standards across the store
* Keeping the interior and exterior of the store clean and tidy
Role Description
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
