Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Implantologist & Oral Surgeon to join our progressive dental group. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced clinical expertise in implantology and oral surgery, with a strong commitment to patient care and safety. You will provide high-quality surgical and restorative treatments, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
There is the opportunity here to work across all 4 of our sites in New Cross, Bellingham, Wallington & Biggin Hill.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnose complex oral health conditions requiring surgical intervention.
* Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for implant placement, bone grafting, sinus lifts, and other oral surgical procedures.
* Perform advanced surgical procedures, including dental implant placement, extractions (including impacted teeth), bone augmentation, and soft tissue management.
* Utilise medical imaging (CBCT, OPG, intraoral scanners) for diagnosis and precise treatment planning.
* Collaborate with restorative dentists and other team members to deliver multidisciplinary care.
* Maintain meticulous patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
* Educate patients on surgical procedures, aftercare, and long-term oral health maintenance.
* Stay abreast of the latest advancements in implantology and oral surgery through ongoing professional development.
* Participate in clinical audits and contribute to practice improvement initiatives.
Requirements
* Degree in Dentistry (BDS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
* Specialist qualification in Oral Surgery and/or Implantology, with evidence of completed postgraduate training.
* Valid registration and licence to practise dentistry in the UK.
* Proven experience in dental implant placement and oral surgery, ideally with a minimum of 3 years in a specialist role.
* Strong knowledge of dental and maxillofacial anatomy, surgical protocols and medical imaging.
* Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and guided surgery software is advantageous.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to reassure and educate patients.
* High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding clinical outcomes.
* Ability to work effectively within a team in a busy, patient-focused environment.
