Job Title: English Teacher
Location: The Greater Horseshoe School, Heathfield, TQ12 6RH
Salary: Up to £37,000.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 40.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only
Start: September 2025 or sooner

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an English Teacher at The Greater Horseshoe School, part of Acorn Education.
About The Role
To provide a high quality education service for our students in accordance with Company policies, procedures and practices and the standards set by the Regulatory Body.
Responsibilities
1. To plan, deliver and teach individual students or small groups, in accordance with the School’s Curriculum framework and related policies
2. To monitor, record and report on student progress
3. To contribute to and help implement developments that relate to the School Development Plan
4. To promote, in line with Company policies, the physical, educational and moral development of the students
5. To contribute to the development and implementation of an environment and programme of learning for the individual student to ensure progression at an appropriate and satisfactory rate
6. To take responsibility for coordinating the teaching, development, assessment, recording and reporting of subjects and areas of learning across key stages as agreed with the Head Teacher
7. To devise, implement and review individual education plans, individual behaviour plans and other relevant individual plans in conjunction with other staff
8. To organise the classroom, its resources, student groupings and displays to provide a stimulating learning situation appropriate for students
9. Adequately plan to ensure the safety of students, in line with risk assessments, while both on and off site
10. To ensure Learning Support Assistants/Tutors/Instructors and care staff (where necessary) are well briefed
