Job Description

Job Summary

To be responsible for ensuring that data generated and used by the Engineering design and certification team is loaded on to the digital library in an accurate and timely manner.



Scope of Responsibilities

To support engineering data receipt, storage management, archiving, checking and transmittal within and outside of Safran Seats GB.


Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain registers and control new numbers for:
o EPS / EGS / SD / MTD / DSN documents.
• Control of initial issue drawings / Ecr packages through various departments to complete signatory status.
• Make available information on status of updated drawings / documents, using spreadsheets & reports.
• Co-ordination of drawings between Safran Seats GB sites.
• Liaise with various departments about status of drawings / ECRs.
• Check content of drawing / ECR packages.
• Update status of data in ECR database.
• Scanning and the accurate data entry of drawings / documentation to digital library.
• Support / liaise with Design department in checking and correction of drawings / ECR data.
• Support to various departments in the supplying of data on disks / paper and pdf format of documents
• Be responsible for Kip printers, (keep up stock levels of consumables at Cwmbran)
• Continuous Process Improvement (NPI etc)

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Experience, Training and Qualifications
Level 3 qualifications (NVQ / BTEC, National certificate / Diploma), OR suitable experience acquired by working in an Engineering or Operations role. Essential
Experience in data entry and data management across multiple projects Essential
Competent in Microsoft Office applications Essential
Familiar with data management software (such as SecureCards or Admit System) Desirable
