Job Description
To manage and ensure successful end-to-end delivery of IT projects or IT work streams of business projects to agreed time, cost, and quality.
Key Accountabilities
1. Develop project scope and objectives, evaluate options for project delivery, and prepare project documentation and plans.
2. Ensure that IT solution requirements are defined, delivered, and monitored.
3. Ensure quality control procedures are used correctly.
4. Establish working methods for the IT solution delivery project team(s).
5. Develop schedules and work packages for the IT project delivery team.
6. Manage hand-over of responsibility for the IT solution to business-as-usual support.
7. Build effective business relationships.
8. Advise on standards, methods, tools, and applications relevant to own specialism and make appropriate choices.
9. Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders with diverse objectives.
10. Meet allocated technical and project/supervisory objectives.
11. Influence resource allocation and project responsibilities management.
12. Make decisions impacting project success, results, deadlines, and budget.
Skills and Knowledge
Stakeholder relationship management
* Gather and use feedback from customers and stakeholders to measure effectiveness.
* Implement communication strategies, handle complaints, resolve issues, and disseminate relevant information.
Project management
* Manage projects from start to finish, including costs, schedule, resources, risks, quality, testing, documentation, and change management for medium-scale projects (6-12 months, teams of 3-5).
* Lead the project team effectively and address performance deviations.
Third-party supplier relationship management
* Develop and manage contracts with suppliers, monitor performance, and ensure security compliance.
* Conduct benchmarking and review supplier performance regularly.
* Manage and implement supplier service improvement actions.
Experience
* Significant experience in an IT-focused role.
* 5+ years managing or influencing technical staff and projects.
* Proven success in enhancing customer experience.
* Experience working within a matrix organizational structure.
Desirable Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related fields; Masters preferred or equivalent experience.
* Project Management certification (PMP or CAPM) from PMI.
* Scrum Master Certification.
* Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
