Job Description
Manage and ensure successful end-to-end delivery of IT projects or IT work streams of business projects, meeting deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
Key Accountabilities
1. Develop project scope and objectives; evaluate options for project delivery; prepare documentation and plans.
2. Define, deliver, and monitor IT solution requirements.
3. Ensure proper use of quality control procedures.
4. Establish working methods for IT project teams.
5. Create schedules and work packages for project teams.
6. Oversee hand-over of IT solutions to support teams.
7. Build effective business relationships.
8. Advise on standards, methods, tools, and applications relevant to the role.
9. Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders with diverse objectives.
10. Be fully accountable for meeting technical and project objectives.
11. Manage resources and delegate responsibilities appropriately.
12. Make decisions impacting project success, including results, deadlines, and budgets.
Skills and Knowledge
Stakeholder Relationship Management
* Gather and utilize feedback to measure management effectiveness.
* Implement communication strategies, handle complaints, resolve issues, and disseminate information.
Project Management
* Manage projects from start to finish, including costs, schedule, resources, risks, quality, testing, documentation, and change management, typically for medium-scale projects (6-12 months, teams of 3-5).
* Provide leadership and address team performance issues.
Third-party Supplier Relationship Management
* Develop and manage supplier contracts, monitor performance, and implement improvement actions.
Experience
* Significant experience in an IT-focused role.
* 5+ years managing or influencing technical staff and projects.
* Proven success in enhancing customer experience.
* Experience in a matrix organizational structure.
Desirable Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related fields; Master’s preferred.
* Project Management certification (PMP or CAPM) from PMI.
* Scrum Master Certification.
* Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
