We have an opportunity for a Permanent Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join an independent mixed animal hospital in Penkridge, Staffordshire.
The practice is looking for a vet who has good experience gained in a mixed animal practice, excellent communication skills in order to inform and support clients and the ability to create evidence-based treatment plans. You will be passionate about keeping up to date with your own professional development.
This practice is a long-established mixed animal hospital with a varied small animal, farm animal and equine caseload. The practice welcomes any area of specialism but the team have a particular emphasis on orthopaedics and soft tissue so an interest in these areas would be advantageous. The practice can support a less experienced vet who is looking to progress in their career.
This role is full time for 4 or 5 days per week with shifts from 8am to 6pm, along with weekends and on-call shifts on a rota.

8. OOH: On-call on a rota
9. Sole charge: None
10. Branch work: On occasion, 1 other nearby branch
11. Consultations: 15 minutes
12. Team: 13 vets, 27 nurses and a supportive non-clinical team

About you:

25. You will be comfortable in all routine surgeries and consultations but support for more recent graduates is available

34. The role is not determined on years of experience and be catered to suit but ultimately the Vet needs to be ambitious looking to develop your clinical skills and knowledge further

Package:
53. Salary: £35, to £60, per annum, commensurate to experience
