Our client is a leading Aerospace/Defence organisation. Their specialism is the training of fighter pilots in the UK and to multiple countries around the world.
This role is commercial director of a business unit, reporting to the Global Head of Commercial. Initially managing a small team of two commercial managers, the main focus of the role is the negotiation of new contracts across multiple jurisdictions. The work itself is varied and stimulating, often involving joint ventures and profit share as the business model is to deliver the training services in country.
You will be a commercial director or a very experienced senior commercial manager with experience weighted towards deal shaping and the negotiation of new business deals, ideally with some international deals too.
The company is a medium sized business that is in growth mode and there will be opportunities for this individual to take on more responsibility as the business continues to grow over the next few years.
The working pattern is hybrid: three days Bournemouth office, two days home.

PLEASE NOTE: this is not a sales role and it is not suited to someone with a purely sales background. This is a commercial contract specialist, namely the interpretation and negotiation of the contractuals and commercials that make up a customer facing deal.
