Packaging Designer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and technically skilled Rigid Packaging Designer to join a growing design and manufacturing team. This role focuses on the development of rigid thermoformed packaging for the food and consumer goods sectors, taking concepts from initial idea through to production-ready tooling using a range of CAD/CAM and visualisation tools.
Alongside design responsibilities, the role includes occasional hands-on support with CNC machining setup and prototype sampling, particularly during periods of holiday cover.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop innovative rigid thermoformed packaging solutions aligned with customer requirements and manufacturing capabilities
* Produce accurate 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks
* Generate toolpaths and CNC machining programs using Powermill
* Create high-quality renders and visual presentations using KeyShot, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
* Maintain clear and accurate project documentation, ensuring effective version control throughout the development process
Skills & Experience Required
1. Proven experience in packaging design, ideally within rigid plastics or thermoforming
