As the business continues to scale and innovate, they are seeking an Insurance Manager to take ownership of a high-impact corporate insurance portfolio and lead strategic insurance transformation across the group. This is an eighteen-month contract to start ASAP.
What You’ll Do
Immediate Priorities:
* Take full ownership of the corporate insurance programme, including renewals, broker relationships, and strategic placements.
* Act as the go-to expert for insurance guidance, particularly for project-specific risks and contractual liabilities.
* Field insurance-related queries across the business, ensuring timely, risk-informed decisions.
Strategic Scope:
* Lead a full diagnostic of current insurance arrangements—identifying strengths, gaps, and areas for optimisation.
* Review and refine global insurance towers and programme structures.
* Engage cross-functional stakeholders (Legal, Risk, Treasury, Procurement, Operations) to align insurance strategy with business objectives.
* Shape and recommend a best-in-class insurance operating model, including future resource planning and governance.
Additional Influence:
* Liaise with brokers, insurers, and adjusters on complex claims and renewals.
* Review and advise on insurance clauses in major contracts, tenders, and joint ventures.
* Support enterprise risk alignment and strategic planning across the risk function.
About You
* A seasoned insurance professional with deep experience in construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
* Demonstrated expertise in managing complex, global programmes, including CAR, PI, D&O, Property, Casualty, and Cyber.
* Capable of operating independently at both strategic and operational levels.
* Strong communicator with gravitas, able to influence at senior levels and across functions.
* ACII or equivalent qualification strongly preferred.
