Role Overview
Faculty of Law is seeking to appoint a Departmental Lecturer in Constitutional Law and Administrative Law. The postholder will cover Professor Nicholas Barber during research leave and teach for the Faculty and Trinity College.
Key duties include teaching, admissions, organising teaching, research, and involvement in the intellectual life of the Faculty and Trinity College.
Responsibilities
* Teach at undergraduate level: deliver lectures, seminars and tutorials on Constitutional Theory for BCL and MJur programmes.
* Organise teaching across specific syllabus areas.
* Engage in original and independent research suitable for publication.
* Act as a college advisor and participate in intellectual activities during term and vacation.
Qualifications
* Undergraduate degree and doctorate (PhD/DPhil) in Law.
* Evidence of ability to teach undergraduate and graduate students across a range of law topics via lectures, seminars or tutorials.
* Evidence of high‑quality research output, including publicly available, peer‑reviewed work.
* Excellent organisational, planning, time‑management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Compensation & Details
* Full‑time fixed‑term contract for 3 years.
* Location: Faculty of Law, St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford.
